I completely agree. It's a disservice to paying members. I'm not sure who thought this was a good idea but it is not. Peak hours end up being even worse and a lot of the kids have an entitled attitude when it comes to working out here.

It happens every year they workout together and squat on the machines and occupy the smith machine each trading off. You are not supposed to hold machines for your friends.

Last summer I wondered WHY there was so many teens at Planet Fitness. They love working out in groups of 7 and holding a machine hostage for the better part of an hour

I'm not a student but I just signed up for planet fitness for $10/month , $49 annual charge doesn't seem bad. My local 24 hr fitness which i pay only $35/year annual charge will close permanently this month after decades because lease running out. But they never returned returning open 24 hours since pre 2020 anyways. The planet fitness classic membership I'll go to is open 24 hours and 10 mins drive. Which is a plus. I also have a fitness19 gym membership but I'll keep since it's only $6/month and $35 annual charge super cheap. Also it's only 5 minute drive so super close
