Wow that's a great price for one of the best gaming headsets on the market.

I've got one and have no complaints in music movies or gaming. Slightly better than the pc37x that I replaced but SIGNIFICANTLY better than my old hyperx clouds.

These give you real Sennheiser sound quality with a very good mic and comfortable build

How would you describe the sound signature? Can you compare to any other audiophile headphones? Mic good enough for computer calls or streaming?

I've been using one earbud of my TWS headphones as a work around since many games seem to have broken or overly onerous setups nowadays. Overall this looks like a pretty good package from Drop and better than getting just the headphone is is based on:
3 m PC cable, 2 x 3.5 mm split TRS connector
1.2 m console cable, 1 x 3.5 mm TRRS connector
2 pairs of earpads (mesh knit and velour)

What DAC or audio interface are people pairing this with? I have a DAC which is output only, no input for a microphone, and I have a laptop I'd like to use this with which needs a USB input.

I have this, my friends noticed an increased mic quality on day 1. Some months later I then got the Expos GSX 1000 (an external sound card) the first time they were paired without a doubt I thought the sound was coming from my external speakers in a good way as the sound seemed to fill the room.

They are open backs good to not be completely isolated, bad for a noisy environment.

They broke (arguably they were not %100 on day one) the wires into the headphones needed to be pushed in extra hard until they stopped working. Warranty repair was awsome (once I asked drop for a repair). They sent me new headphones secured by credit card in case I didn't return the old non-working set. Since then I have had zero issues. Pulled out an old set when diagnosing the issue and couldn't believe how much better the Drops are.

I have these. They are phenomenal. I use them for both gaming and work (call center rep). The sound cues in Counterstrike/Valorant are so precise that I almost feel like I have wallhacks, and I've had multiple randos ask me if I'm a streamer because the mic quality is so good.

As the user above me noted, support has also been excellent. I reached out because my son chewed on the cable and it quit working. I asked for a new cable, they sent me a whole new headset instead.

Thanks OP. already had one in all black that i got for a really good price from Amazon a while back but I like it so much I just ordered another.

I had never had open back headphones before (didn't even know they were a thing) but I really like them. The sound is really good and has a fullness to it that's more realistic than closed back headphones IMO. Plus, I can hear what's going on around me a lot better and my ears don't get sweaty, to boot.

Since these are wired it's a good idea to get the "combiner" from amazon so you don't have to constantly switch wires at the headphone. Wearing out that port on the left ear or the custom cable they come with could be a real disaster in the long run.

best real "gaming" headset you can get. Was going to go this route but decided to go with the Sennheiser HD 560S with a boom mic cable attachment which is likely just a minimal upgrade compared to the stock pc38x headset

Damn, I just paid $120 ($140-$20 discount) a few days ago. Oh well. You won't find a better gaming headset under $400.
