Do these work for ps5/series x? Feel like I couldn't find anything about it on the product page if it does
Yes, it comes with a 3.5mm cable.

I've had this for a few years and love it. Only issue is that the volume dial eventually breaks, and takes the right channel with it. Ten minute job to open it up and solder the dial to bypass it.

I love this headset. I have two of them, one for just music and the other for gaming. I bought cooling ear pads for the gaming one and it helped out for longer play sessions. Cooling ear pad that i bought (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...=UTF8&th=1)

I have the Astros a50. Was planning on getting a new headset but a lot of people were telling me to get the arctic nova pro. Obviously huge price difference, but my question is, should I go with these, based off of the reviews and what people are saying. Or should I dish out the extra money for the nova pros?

Going to try these. Still in the return window for some Audeze Maxwell for PS5 and while they sound incredible for music I haven't enjoyed them as much for the gaming side which is what I purchased them for. Very different headsets but these are 1/3 the price and was one of the sets I had initially considered. Biggest issue for the Maxwell is party chat with friends. I hate the way my voice sounds due to the passive noise cancellation and the sidetone is too bass heavy. I can deal with a cord if I enjoy the gaming experience more.

These. The only reason to get a different one would be need for wireless. Price difference isn't even a factor in this case as you have to go above $400 range to start getting anything close to objectively better in terms of sound or mic etc. The only actual critiques of these all compare them to separate headphone and mic options not combined headsets.

If only listening to music there is options that are better in the under $400 range but for all in one headsets the best you're going to find is ones that compete with these not anything that is above them.

Im mainly going to use them for gaming, and some youtube browsing and music.

Last question is, is it worth the 'upgrade' from the a50s, or would you say to stick to my a50s as these are no 'upgrade' per say?

I play FPS, so I really want good headphones for say, Rainbow 6, Valorant, CS2, L4D2, etc... where footsteps are important as well as directional sounds to pinpoint gun sounds or footsteps.

I just ordered these to complement the somewhat similar Game Ones (see PC37x) that I've used since late 2018. Those have sounded great and been problem-free aside from some cracked plastic inside the ear pads, and I finally gave up on a repair and got replacements for that part.

I cannot figure out how the Sennheiser products have been divided after the split. Headphones that I thought were comparable have all ended up at different companies. But it's pretty clear [eposaudio.com] that the gaming products are done. Maybe Drop has something worked out to keep their stuff going, but I'm worried that good spare parts will start to disappear.

I can finally stop moving the one pair between my desk and TV, but there's also some peace of mind in having a complete backup
Do you really plan on repairing these?

Personally I haven't used the a50s but there is a lot of audio forum and reddit threads from people who thought the a50s were good until they bought these. Most people seem to consider these a considerable step up from the a50s for gaming, music, and general sound quality.

For cheaper parts, like the cable, ear pads, or headband pad? Yeah I'd like to. I'm not going to disassemble the drivers or anything like that...

I bought these around mid 2021 and I am still using these as my main. I paired them with an EPOS Sennheiser GSX 1200 Pro and it was a world of difference over the logitech G935's I had at the time. Enhanced my gameplay with the spatial audio alone. I am a DJ and make my own music and these headsets have been great in all applications. I've gotten 3 years of use out of them. At this price, it's a no brainer. Very comfortable on the ears. Very light. Pick up a DAC/AMP with these.

This was going to be my next question... if I do pick these up... can I game with just the headphones or do I need to spend another 100$+ on an amp/dac which would kinda defeat the purpose... and at that point just stick to my a50s
