i picked up a used s8+ to augment my ipad pro 11 m2. i gotta say that I am very impressed. it handles media way better than the ipad. the only issue i have is the learning curve is higher due to all the customizations.

That is actually INCORRECT. All models of the S9 series come with 120Hz AMOLED displays.

The S8 base model did not have AMOLED but S9 series all have AMOLED.

Good tablet but price is a bit high right now.
Was able to get S9 fe by trading in a 2020 S6 Lite with a dead pixel plus $135 in Dec 2023.

I wish Samsung offered a longer software update period on these devices. I still use my S7+ and it is solid. I feel like by the time the price drops on a specific model, you have about 2 years of updates left. I just don't churn through devices that quickly and the software updates usually don't need better hardware.

Buy, that's how they make money.

Not OP, but I made the trade a week ago (S6 Mini, not S6). The S9 FE is an upgrade for sure. The S6 was lagging for sure on games, none whatsoever on the S9. Bigger, better screen, I'm glad I traded up.

It's worth to get an AMOLED imo. I have an original Galaxy Tab S (amoled) that still looks phenomenal even if it runs like shogdit.

Yes, tab S6, not the Lite. So far I am super impressed. Also added the keyboard book cover and it's a great combo. Plus the extra screen real estate of the FE+ is excellent.
