Really wish this had a regular SD card slot instead of microSD. Also, touchscreen seems kind of useless if it's not a 2 in 1 form factor.

But overlooking these points as this checks off the rest of my boxes (16GB+ RAM, 512GB+ SSD, above average 16:10 100% sRGB screen) at a good price. Apparently, there is also another hidden .m2 slot to add another SSD.

How is a touchscreen useless if not 2 in 1? I use it all the time in laptop mode. Sometimes you just want to zoom or navigate using the touchscreen. It's what I am use to on a tablet so why would that change if I have a track pad. I can't stand using a track pad to zoom or scroll a large amount.
I am actually glad it's not a 2 in 1 because it makes the hinge weaker and it adds thickness and weight.

400-nits display FYI. 👍
Do you have a source on this? Tried looking around for this info, but couldn't find any on the nits specification.

That's fine if touchscreen is helpful for you. For myself and others I've discussed with, no one uses touchscreen on a Windows laptop, whether it's a 2 in 1 or not, as touchpad gestures are good enough (if not using an external keyboard/mouse). In general, I also don't like the idea of getting fingerprint smudges all over a laptop screen and sometimes seeing them later when parts of the display get dark.

You mean this $799.99 one at Costco, right? https://www.costco.com/acer-swift...37600.html

You're probably right that it's 400 nits, although the one at Costco is a newer model with the core ultra CPU. Probably Acer uses the same 16:10 IPS display on different configurations for their Swift Go line

That Damn LPDDR again. Would really like the option to upgrade to 32GB and most likely 64GB.
I hope that article I read was serious and they are working on a way for us to upgrade LPDDR RAM, I assume it's still like 5-7 yrs away and very, very expensive.

The only time I have had a hinge issue is with my 2 in 1 laptop. I have owned two and both had hinge issues around the two-year mark. Will never buy again. Touch screen is a must have for me.

Ordered this laptop a couple weeks ago and love it. Perfect size and weight, and perfect for a work laptop that is easy to carry around to and from work, especially with the two thunderbolt 4 ports.

If only Amazon still price matched. I have to return my original and wait for this one to ship since they don't want to just refund the difference 🙄.
