I have the Vornado OSCR 37 AE (Alexa Enabled) version, purchased in July 2022. It's not a bad product but it's not as powerful as most Vornado air circulators, and subject to developing a rattling problem (as mine did). I exchanged it for a new one in November 2023 under the 5-year warranty. It went smoothly, and the new unit is quiet.

This eBay open-box unit is advertised with a 5-year warranty too. I'd make sure of that before buying. And realize that, if you're looking for the full hurricane-wind Vornado experience, this ain't it. But the price is right.

I probably wouldn't go for one of these open-box deals for something like this, based on a similar experience with a Lasko tower fan - but to each his own. The original (Lasko) I bought ~10 years ago was good, I regret giving it away during a move.. I returned the same model I bought more recently due to a pronounced motor hum. Point being: there's a good chance 'not quiet' is a reason a lot of these units were returned.

Very quiet fan. But not your father's vornado fan. High setting is similar to medium on my old fan. Low is just a gentle wisp of air, but almost totally silent.

Heads up, I received this item today and it has been damaged, clearly repaired, and clearly used. I submitted a refund request and I will see where this goes. Refund approved and seller paid for shipping label.
