Negative, I've bought and picked up like 10+ Pixel phones at google stores with trade-in the past few years and they've always sent me a seperate box that I need to ship out for the trade-in.
Free trial account will not work.
If you happen to live near a physical Google Store, you can do the trade-in instantly in person so no delays or risks. NYC, Boston, and Mountain View.

Edit: I've personally traded in several devices (phones and watch) in Mountain View. In all instances they physically took the device and gave me credit instantly. I can't personally vouch for the other stores.

What a catch! That's outstanding for older iPads with low trade in values…even the damaged one! I might be doing this!!!

Have a 7th Gen iPad that is $399 value. Is it worth it to trade it for this pixel tablet? I haven't heard much about the pixel tablet.

Wow, same offer ($399) for my ipad 6th gen. I wonder if they will adjust the offer down when they receive it? Tempting to do it, and then flip the pixel tablet and put that money toward a new ipad, lol.

Good deal for 6th gen, probably won't be getting IOS 18 update. Only downside is you pay upfront and get the refund later for trade in

The only thing that is giving me pause is all the Google trade in horror stories I have read over the years. Too many to make me comfortable doing this trade in. They use a super shady trade in company that will just deny your trade in for all kinds of made up reasons, and then you have to spend hours dealing with Google's absolutely horrible customer service.

That concerns me too. I had issues with their deal awhile back, and while the staff seemed to empathize, the final decision was not in my favor. So I cancelled.

My 7th Gen ipad is in damn good shape but the 1st Gen iPad Pro got sat on, cracking the screen AND actually bending the iPad itself. However, it still functions, just not a "clear" viewing experience. Yet they state $200 value, which seems standard right now. For this deal.

Maybe clearing out stock as a new one is coming.??

I've traded in maybe a dozen devices in the past year or two with no issue. They even upgraded the condition I specified for one device (cracked => normal) IIRC.
