Negative, I've bought and picked up like 10+ Pixel phones at google stores with trade-in the past few years and they've always sent me a seperate box that I need to ship out for the trade-in.

If you happen to live near a physical Google Store, you can do the trade-in instantly in person so no delays or risks. NYC, Boston, and Mountain View.

Edit: I've personally traded in several devices (phones and watch) in Mountain View. In all instances they physically took the device and gave me credit instantly. I can't personally vouch for the other stores.

Because the credit is apply after, not at time of purchased. Different than how Samsung process it. I'm in CA, so we get screwed either way.
Apple, BestBuy also processes refund after inspection. But they refund the tax portion in TX.

The only thing that is giving me pause is all the Google trade in horror stories I have read over the years. Too many to make me comfortable doing this trade in. They use a super shady trade in company that will just deny your trade in for all kinds of made up reasons, and then you have to spend hours dealing with Google's absolutely horrible customer service.
I did one less than a month ago - wish I would have waited! Thought $250 was a good deal. Was smooth and I got much full $250 quickly. I would say with any trade in with any company always take pics, etc for your own proof

Don't you dare get rid of that thing. How many do you have? Doesn't matter. Keep them all, just because.

I've got an old iPad 2. Wishful thinking as I scanned the trade in list for it.

Charging dock speaker is $79 on Best Buy.
Well that's a pretty good deal. You can get the Tablet only at $399, less trade-in from Google, for $22 (plus taxes) less than this deal. Yes, the Dock might go down more but who knows when and where...

I have a 10th gen iPad and I really dislike Apple's walled garden but I'm still having trouble pulling the trigger. It doesn't seem clear to me that Google has nailed the tablet experience well enough yet. Does anybody think I'm wrong?
10th gen iPad? You're crazy it's way better than this.

I assume you mean I'd be crazy to trade it in, in which case thanks for reassuring my instincts to be true Smilie

The best way to get this is buying one without the dock, buy a ipad 6th from ebay for $90.

HP touchpad is basically a badge only for OG slickers. You should frame it and hang it on your wall.

I had two and now just one. Didn't turn it on in a while didn't realize how heavy that sucker is.

It's a relic of a bygone era. When deals were simpler and products did more, like tablets doubling as door stops or weight vest plates.

if its like their phone trade in deals, they dont care about non functional faceid, touch id or aftermarket repairs.
Wow that's almost unbelievable. Without the touchID button you can't go back to the home screen without using a finger gesture, not to mention no fingerprint sensor either!

I wonder if they inspect for physical damage and then just use software to test functionality and lock status. Still think mine would come up with an issue in that case.

I mean the home button works but only touchid fingerprint sensor doesn't work indicating aftermarket screen or button replacement.
