Edit: I've personally traded in several devices (phones and watch) in Mountain View. In all instances they physically took the device and gave me credit instantly. I can't personally vouch for the other stores.

I'm looking at 80 for the iPad off eBay. Plus 15 tax on the google store. 95 total.
40 bucks back with google one membership and 8 bucks back with a cash back site.
Out of pocket around 55 bucks.
Personally, this is desirable to replace the 3 Google displays in the house. Apple smart homes are where the joke is.

But I still use my old iPad Pro's I bought many years ago... they are still useful! You might pay more for Apple but you'll probably use it a lot longer than any Android tablet.

The reviews of the Pixel tablet is so-so and had some issues also.
