It is a dim light, similar to using a lantern in your tent. Sit down...
I'm guessing you don't like campfires either.
Looking at the thumbs down most people wouldn't want you there either. Go home Karen.

But in a serious reply to this post I have a friend with a similar tent with led poles. They pretty much just help you find the tent in the dark. You can barely use their light to read an instruction manual if you hold it under the poles.

Tent seems to have nice features but I don't understand the rain fly that doesn't cover the sides

I ordered the tent plus two bottles of Scotchgard water proofer. One review on Walmarts website said they got some water penetration in the rain witn it
From experience owning many tents and camping in torrential rain many times. Most of the seepage comes from the seams. Use Gear Aid Seam Grip to seal the seams and use Scotchguard for the rain fly. Even the cheapest tent can be waterproofed this way.

If you dont want to spend the time nor money. The cheapest option is to buy a large tarp and set it up over the tent for cover.

Public housing as designed by the Palo Alto System.

Coming to your town after they have "moved fast and broken" down everything in California worth having and extracted the wealth. The mine tailings get tents on the sidewalk… if they're lucky.

If you're going to bring LED poles to go camping in the wilderness/National Park/other natural beauty--please just stay home. I don't want your light pollution there.

EDIT: Maybe this LED pole is fine. But I'm not excited about where this trend will go--brighter and brighter with blue LEDs.
It's inside the tent. I own this model of tent.

Its top is mesh, and the rest seems to be water resistant. Used the tent for 3 camping seasons now. Easiest big tent I've ever set up and it even goes back in the original bag.

Are there any college protesters here? I was wondering what band and model you were provided with for the college encampments. (They all looked the same and of really high-quality.) How do they compare to this slick deal band/model? Thanks.
