Is this worth the price tag? How much more effective is this compared to the Halo?

My wife works in the biomedical device regulatory industry and she typed this up. Hope this helps lol:

I can't speak to this versus the Halo, but one of the main reasons we chose the SNOO it is one of the only devices on the market that has FDA clearance (DEN210039 if you are interested!) to keep infants on their back during sleep which reduces the likelihood of SIDS. Since it is also officially a medical device, information on the safety of the product is publicly available in the MAUDE database. Since the Halo is a consumer good, that information isn't available readily.

Anecdotally, we have a few friends that swear by it and said it really made sleep training and those early weeks much better. I know that their kid sleeps very well and they transitioned out of it with no problem. Personally, for us it's a huge splurge considering it can be only used for 6 months. We ultimately decided to go with it because we intend to have multiple kids (so we can get multiple uses), hope it gives us extra sleep and makes sleep training easier and comes with a little bit of extra safety. The risk of SIDS really decreases once the baby can turn themselves over but our friends said it did great at soothing their 4 month old when they had a bit of a sleep regression.

A lot of companies provide a Snoo for free thus they kinda of got a "good reputation" for being a free bassinet, my kid hate it starting from Day 2 and I was never able to "strap her" into the sleep bag without she screaming at us, the "soothing" part is also confusing experience to her as it is just shaking the baby as a clock hand, which is not helping.

What do you mean companies? Like employers or hospitals?

Employers, that's a very smart marketing strategy IMO.

Crazy how this was $900 and considered a deal 3 years ago. Inflation.. Sure sure.
