RIGID 4 gallon $79 vs Husky 4 gallon:$25

20ft power cord vs 6ft power cord .
7ft hose vs 5ft hose
120cfm vs 85cfm
18 pounds vs 4 pounds
1.8" diameter hose vs 1.2" diameter hose

...but 3x more money.
I just bought a 6 gallon Bauer from Harbor Freight for $39. It's pretty damn good to me.
The hose is 1" diameter instead of 2" or 3" like most smaller vacs.

Done this before where I've changed the zip code to another location and the price was honored and shipped for free. You can try 92124 (Store 6634). Shows 79 there. Good luck.

Same, I also recently bought the 6 gallon Bauer from HF. I wonder how the 6 gallon husky compares to the Bauer. It seems the husky one comes with more accessories

I would recommend using a shop vac over a vaccum cleaner for dirtier projects and dealing with debris and what not (Especially renovations). Also helpful if there's any water spillage the shop vac will take care of that too.

on one hand ~$25 for an improvement over my old little 2 gallon shop vac would be nice. on the other, i can see the versatility of that rigid mentioned for $80.

Anybody know how good the lifetime warranty is? Just go into HD and get a replacement? I was about to pull the trigger on the vac/blower on sale for $79 from Ridgid but this might be better..

edit: ah damn, the Ridgid wd4080 is 4gal with 6hp which is pretty damn compact with a lot of power compared to huskys 16gal 6.5hp

edit2: I'd definitely go with the Ridgid if you're wanting 120+ CRM or 6+ HP. it's $79 on sale rn
Ridgid is definitely better. The Ridgid 4g has 120 CFM vs the Husky 4g at 85 CFM. Ridgid is also the durable brand preferred by contractors and has a lifetime warranty (although not always backed well by Ridgid customer service).

Bauer has been well tested for good suction but 90 day "warranty".. rather pay a handful more bucks for warranty

I'm clueless about shop vacuums. Would the 4 gal / 3 hp be strong enough to vacuum out my pellet grill and clean up very small jobs in the shed?

You may need an adapter. Most small to midsize Ridgid hoses are 1-7/8in but the stock hoses are just meh. If you want the premium hoses, you can either pay the ridiculous $55 for Ridgid's car detailing kit or buy Bauer's exact same kit (but in red) for $25

Yes that'll do *but* if you want to pick up heavier rocks or get stuck-in pet hairs though, I suggest 1) a larger diameter hose that is at least 1-7/8" and 2) 5HP+ or 100+CFM (you should be able to find those specs on the product page).

Im thinking about buying this to suck out the water from my washing machine. The lint trap is located on the bottom of my GE washer and its so smelly after a week or two. I suspect a tiny sock is stuck in there or something. The washer drain pain also makes it very difficult to set up something to collect the water when i open the trap. Therefore i think this might be the best solution to suck out the water every week or two. If anyone has any advice on how to get rid of the stinky smell on this washer would be greatly appreciated. Ive made sure the drain line isnt going too far down the pipe too but still i get the smelly water smell.
