Nothing says "I love you mom" like a factory blemished tool from DTO
Opposite experience. Bought numerous items from them and pretty much all like new and working still. Had for years now.
You need to apply the code "MOTHERSDAY" during check out to get free shipping.

Any decent deals anywhere on Ryobi 40v batteries? 🥲 Only seeing "Factory Reconditioned" here and that's sounding risky based on comments.

Does anyone know if DTO qualifies for Discover's current 5% rewards at home improvement stores?

what they seem to mean is you buy the tool and help mom with the DIY chores.

I bought the telescoping scrubber for $70. I don't need the soap dispensing version. With free shipping the price is lower than a 50% sale with $15 shipping:

I have the handheld model. It doesn't seem like it's spinning fast but I was surprised at how easily it cleaned up indoor tile including areas that give me trouble with a brush on hands and knees. The telescoping model seems sensible for overall indoor use including bathtubs. I would guess it's not strong enough for outdoors other than light duty.

Has anybody tried the Weed Wacker that sets into a mowing deck tool? I have a seasonal campsite and this seems like the perfect tool for the job but am unsure if it actually works.

I purchased a few things from DTO in the past, but lately their "sale" prices have been garbage and they are absolutely inflating the retail price. Feels kinda scummy imo.

These free shipping codes are great to get small cheap stuff. Like a replacement chain for my pole saw. Or filters for the vacuums. Without the free shipping, its not worth the risk of getting these small stuff on the same order when you have to pay for shipping. Dont ever add a small priced item to a big order when you have to pay for shipping. They may tell you the big item is sold out and ship the small item with the shipping cost and you will end up paying $15 shipping for a $5 part. That happened to me on one occasion, so I stopped getting small stuff unless shipping was free.

Yeah, I bought a refurb Ryobi Oscillating Tool from these guys.
It lasted one board and broke.
They wanted me to drive 50 miles, drop it off at a repair center, then drive back two weeks later to pick it up.
"F" that!

Moral of the story..."Don't buy their refurbs".
You're getting downvoted but I've heard the same in other threads. I've heard that the refurbs are a bad idea from DTO, but the "factory blemished" are basically brand new tools and an excellent buy

Same experience. RYOBI warranties are crap, and non-existent from Direct Tools, but I bought a sprayer at Home Depot, paid regular price, and it was clogged right out of the box. Took it to a factory repair shop and RYOBI claimed I put something in it that I shouldn't have (the only thing I put in it was water) and would not honor the warranty. I got tired of arguing with them and just determined that was my last RYOBI tool purchase.
To be fair, read the DTO fine print. You have 7 days to report a defect. So that means you need to verify it works immediately. I bought a gas pressure washer and tested it as soon as I received it. It worked fine, but when I checked it 3 days later, there was oil all over the top. I called DTO and they paid for shipping to return it and refunded me. They were out of stock, so they would only guarantee the same price within 30 or 90 days, dont remember which. They never did get back stock in time, so I waited a year for it to get in stock and the same price and got another one. This time it didnt leak oil. So you have 7 days for DTO to return in case of a defect.

Should've bought 20 of them. Been an absolutely awesome vacuum and it looked brand new

Those are typically hard to find. I was able to score a reconditioned 5Ah 40v for $90 last summer, looked brand new. My leaf blower sometimes trips the overload (blinking LED's) but it works forever with my weed whacker. Not sure if it's the battery or tool.
