Daaang. I've had numerous Singing Machine products but they were mostly all larger karaoke machines. I still have one full size unit for my daughters. I've never had an issue with them. Looks like this is a serious lemon product according to the reviews

Not necessarily replaced free, you get your money back minus the $4 for the warranty. I doubt All-State will have more of these hanging around in 2 and a half years. It would be much cheaper for them just to give your $16 back.

So this one does not include batteries. If you want rechargeable ones of C batteries it'd cost you $35 and it wouldnt be as convenient as just charging the device itself.
I think not having rechargeable battery is a downside.

Other poster corrected me this apparently have AC plug.
