Just fyi I purchased these new on Amazon maybe 10 months ago. I found the noise cancelling to be unimpressive and the headphones uncomfortable, causing pain on my ears from the pressure of them pushing on them. I would not recommend these even for free, unless you have a very small head and do not care about effective noise cancelling.
Great seller, easy returns if there are any issues. Tried this pair at Best Buy and this is a great sounding pair for the price. They're no XM4/XM5 but at 1/4 (or less) of the price they certainly come close enough. Sounds more neutral than the XB910n, but still has enough bass to be fun without getting muddy. If I was in the market for over-ears this would be an immediate buy for me.
Also this seller's Sony stuff always arrives in pristine condition, I think Sony liquidates extra stock directly to them so literally all of the 11 Sony products I've gotten from them have felt indistinguishable from new condition other than including no box/manual.
I just bought this last week and these are the most lightweight headphones that I have ever owned and I have owned a lot from HifiMan, Shure, Grado, Sennheiser and more. It is actually very comfortable. It does not sound as good my B&W Px7 s2, but this is very comfortable. Noise Cancelling is also not as good as my XM4. For this price, I would not hesitate to buy another one for my kids.

Secondipity is storefront of Liqidity Inc which is a authorized liquidator for many companies such as sony and target. I always got new items from them, though they are marketed as refurbished.

This or the Anker Soundcore Q45? I'm going on a 14-hour flight in a few weeks and would like to be able to block out some of the noise so I can get a decent nap on the plane.

I was debating between those two as well. Pulled the trigger on these since they're almost sold out. If I don't like them I'll sell them or give them away.

I have the Q45s and I love their noise cancelling. Good sound, great battery life.

Same in my experience. They do get to feel a bit heavy after several hours on a plane, but I don't recall a set of over the ears that don't...
NC works fine on plane, train, and when in close proximity to small engines or motors. Yard work is my primary use case and these allow listening to music or podcasts at a reasonable volume.

I have a pair of the extra Bass units that also have adaptive sound so i can still hear people speak. they are very similar to the structure of this. By far my favorite pair and most comfortable of headphones I've ever owned. Moreso than my Bose quietcomforts.

I rock my Anker because I'm a SD'er

I had Dr Dre Studio 3 before (old version)
Looks like I bought the last pair.
