I use Instacart a lot (probably more than most people) and whenever I have an issue they have always fixed it with very little effort on my part. Most orders are completely issue-free as well.

Technically yes, but you can also create a guest account online and get a free temporary membership number that is usable for 48 hours.

Deal might be dead for non-members, I just tried to create a guest account and verified my email/phone number. My membership area shows it expires in 1 day, but I get this error when I try to complete the order:

I also shop at instacart quite a bit, mainly because they send me coupons all the time. Its hit or miss, but they always refund me when mistakes are made, and its a simple process. Not a pain in the..like amazon.

If anything, the $20 savings on the Instacart card will help make up for the higher prices and delivery fees they charge and tips you give, so you might just break even to actually going and getting the stuff yourself.
