I ordered this because it will make me look rich, like the dude wearing the red sweater.
Ohh, Georgie - cashmere!

Some other good stuff in the sale too. Not everything has that whale on it.

What I don't like is the collar , if it was V or collarless it would be more attractive. The collar loses its shape especially after the first wash.

I stay away from 1/4 zippers like the plague

Uniqlo would like to have a word with you.

I would size down for these VV sweaters.

Actually went on Uniqlo's website. For men the only sweater they have available is gray XS on sale for $60. Maybe discontinued idk

Thought I'd share this terrible admission here for consideration by fellow slickdealers: I wash my cashmere sweaters as rarely as possible. Perhaps once a season at most if I can cycle through them enough and avoid anything demanding attention (food stains, etc.). I've generally followed a conservative version of guidance available from resources such as Wirecutter [nytimes.com].

Sounds as if some owners are being a bit more regular about washing their cashmere sweaters?

Good luck!
Jon

I was actually counting on them to cheap out a bit on a 100% cashmere and find a sweater that is closer to being true to size if not a bit small (something I've experienced with other brands producing a cashmere product).

At the same time, I don't have direct experience with this example (yet). I'm still waiting for my order to ship.

Good luck!
Jon

Since when has vv become a luxury brand?
Anything from Vineyard Vines, Polo Ralph Lauren, Brooks Brothers, Peter Millar, etc. is going to be this expensive if it is 100% cashmere. It is probably two-ply which is going to much higher quality than one those cheap cashmere sweaters you would find at Macy's.

If you truly want to be accepted by the rich, you're going to have to start calling that color coral instead of red. Welcome to the country club, bud!

Vinyard vines is almost the bottom of the market for cashmere. Also, if youre wearing good cashmere the quality and craftsmanship should speak for itself. Super snobby answer, sorry.
What? My comment was a reply to a comment where someone was saying that the item did not have the logo on it . My point is that the logo is what people who buy products like this want — it is not a negative to THEM. How does that make me a snob? I don't have the money to pay $100 for a tshirt and I wouldnt spend my money that way if I had it.

If guaranteed equal quality in goods, I'd pay more for the unbranded item.

I prefer not to be a billboard.

Mucho dinero for cashmere.

Where is laundry care instructions? Machine or hand wash? Can you put in dryer for drying?
Right where you might expect. Under the "Features & Care" section of the product page (just below the main photos).

Care Instructions
  • Airing out your sweaters in between wears will prolong time between washes
  • We recommend hand washing your cashmere only when needed or drop off at your cleaning experts
  • Lay flat to dry
  • Cashmere will naturally pill over time—a good cashmere brush will help keep your sweater looking fresh

I bought some in large but think the sleeves will be too short. Tall large is my jam. Amen brother.
