I heard it's like Halo 2 mixed with Halo 3.

This is such an ignorant reduction of who Dunkey is. Sure he's a total goofball, but behind that facade he's one of the most dedicated, talented, caring people in the industry.

If you care at all about video games, go check out some of his more serious stuff. He's one of a kind.

So much hype around this game I got it and tried for 15 minutes to like it, but platforming puzzles are not enough alone for me. Great visuals but I could already tell I'd be exhausted from the constant minimalism. Really wanted to love it but definitely wasn't for me.

2-4 hours in. It feels like a damn near perfect game. I had never heard of Dunkey before purchasing this but Jason Schreier compared it to Outer Wilds and Destructoid gave it a 10, so I had to put Hades II EA aside to dive in. Go in knowing as little as possible, the little "aha" and "whoaaa" moments are what it's all about!

The jump is as tight as Celeste, the items are all unique and devious little trinkets that are fun to mess with. The visuals are mesmerizing, and it's refreshing to see a game with cutting edge graphics come in at only 34 MB. Just a labor of love from every angle. Can't recommend it enough.

It's pretty good, but it's no Super Mario Bros 2.

From the comments, it seems to be heavily promoted by a YouTuber whose primary demographic audience started in grade school.

This might not be reflective of the game itself, but possibly the ill-conceived hype around it.

Wasn't for me either. A friend sold me on buying it saying it was like Fez. I found it just a frustrating puzzle game that used constant death and backtracking as its crutch to extend game time. Also don't get caught up in not spoiling it. There isn't anything that interesting to spoil and you can get stuck just because you aren't getting what the game wants you to do. Wish I had passed on it.

I was able to get a refund on Steam since my play time was just 15 minutes. Maybe worth trying?

I'm sorry, but how is $2 off a $25 game that looks like it should have come out in the 80s a slick deal?
