Ive had this for about a year. Installed in the fall. Never had to charge it all winter (live in Boston) it did get down to 2 bars of battery in the winter. Triggered about 3-4 times each day. Since about April the camera has received enough sunlight to be fully charged now.

Would recommend.

Just chatted with customer service for a status update. Was told due to high demand, shipping is delayed until September. Debating weather I wait for ~3 more months or cancel.

From my research, I found that these will either last a very long time or fail after about a year. I do recommend buying insurance to extend the warranty, buying from Costco (if available there) to get the free warranty, or replace them when they drop to about $40 a unit on Black Friday or during a four pack sale

That's not how it works…anymore. Currently, if a camera gets stolen or you purposely take it offline, you can still go into the events section of the app and see the videos from the disconnected device that's stored on the HomeBase 3.

This camera needs maybe 2 hours of sunlight. Doesn't have to be direct sunlight to charge full
