Can anyone who has these comment on the quality compared to just regular Landscaping lights?

I've had mine for 3 years and no issues with the actual lights. They have great color and are without question better than standard landscaping lights from a color standpoint. The biggest issue I have had is with the t connector wiring when you want to extend and add more where they go bad after a year or two, which is very, very annoying and not really acceptable from a quality standpoint.

The lights themselves have been great though. Also, 0 issues with the power supplies in those 3 years either.

I'm looking to buy this or the Lily XL to replace my Atomi spotlights (also from Costco) which gone bad reallllly quick and have many downsides (very dim - 400 lumens max, inaccurate color, require Tuya cloud integration). Anyone know if these lights are realistically better in terms of actual brightness or color accuracy?

My experience too. The connectors are the failure point. I decided this year that if I have a connector go bad again, I'll just hard wire them together. I'm tired of them going bad and trying to track down new connectors.

Are connectors the type I can put heat shrink over?

I've had these for 4 or 5 years. I'm not impressed — probably the worst Hue product I've ever owned, and I own over 60. The housing finish really wears in the weather, the plastic lenses turned yellow, and some of the enclosures have water inside now. Unacceptable at this price point and they failed after the 3 year warranty.

Tentatively in for 2. Inexpensive given what it does, and heavily invested in the Hue ecosystem. I can't say I'll be pleased if I bury all of the wire only for the connectors to fail shortly. I'll RTV and heat-shrink the snot out of them and hope they last.

I like Hue. Have them for almost 10 years now. Honestly, their prices have become absolutely ridiculous when there's so much competition now that has just as good if not better stuff.

Been wanting this since I have everything Hue inside, and a lot. However, decided on govee for outdoor use and could be happier.

Sure, the app isn't as good as hue, but being outdoor lights, it's more than enough to tinker with, and won't be adjusted anywhere near as much as indoor lights. The quality it excellent, and bought 2x 4pack for $280... Literally half off Hue.

They are bright, and I was so 'oh, so close' to splurging on Lily. Really glad I didn't, and no regrets.

I justify hue cost indoors in many ways, but can't anymore. If you were like me waiting for a sale on Hue, don't... go with govee. Quality is just as good as hue, and arguably have more options to install different lighting. My main worry was wifi connectivity.... it's strong, and plays well with Google home

Die electric grease in the connectors! Keeps water out, learned it from other guys in the phillips group.

I skip their connectors and just wire them myself with a third party outdoor connector

Anyone switch to/from VOLT lights? That's my current set up but would love color if they are just as bright.
