Not sure if this is a deal... Seems like a standard price for a no auto-feed, no duplex scanning, and no touch screen. Let me know if you can find one with all or most of those at this price then it would a deal.

Different but slick deal last week at Staples.com. All printers (including Brother) had $50 off $200 coupon AND 50% back in points which is 1pt to $1 ratio. I was in the market for a color Brother laser all in one. Bought the HL3300 for $340 including that $50 off and then got back $170 in Staples points which do not expire. So yes, not a true half off, but can be viewed as half off due to the kick back on points for later use. We don't have a time machine but worth knowing and keeping an eye out for same deal at Staples FYI

I have been using Brother HL-L2325DW from last 2 years and it has been awesome. I used the generic cartridge and it works without any problem. I have been thinking to get the color brother printer which can use the generic cartridge. Can someone please give me some recommendation?

I have been using monochrome laser printer Brother HL-L2300D that has a toner you can buy for under $20 and lasts you nearly 1000 pages.It has crisp print and paper jams can be solved by just removing jammed paper otherwise no real machine troubleshooting. I love this monochrome i bought for $90 2 years ago without any warranty from brother.
There are many similar monochrome laser printers from Brother that are more powerful than the current ones.

Bought the 2370DW for $80 from a SD about 5 years ago… bought a stand-alone scanner… and have been SO pleased. Print quality and speed is just as good (for normal use) as any of the fancier combo ones, it handles every cheap generic toner I've thrown at it like a champ, and it's just generally been bulletproof.

Huge fan of the simple/cheaper brother laser printers. Just had to chime in. Cheers!

I have no idea why anyone would buy two separate devices to print and scan. Not a single reason. Ill take my all-in-one Brother DCP-L2640DW for $143 shipped which does both scanning and printing
