I was eating a bottle of tums almost daily to fight the acid reflux. This has been only thing that relieves it. Been on it for many years now. If I miss a day then by nighttime it's unbearable

If I'm ever to left on a deserted island I want chap stick and omeprazole !
I've been on Famotidine for years (Pepcid AC) and for those who taking it long term, famotidine, which is a H2 blocker, is a safer, "cleaner" long-term medication compared to omeprazole which is a PPI. One of the main disadvantages of a PPI is that it strips more minerals from your system which can cause things like vitamin deficiencies, make your bones more susceptible to fractures and increase in various diseases/infections.

Short term, it isn't as problematic.

Is it cheaper in store?

Would you be able to share what's the expiration date on it?

Thanks 🙏

holy s***, you guys get really price gouged in medicines. This thing costs $1.5 for a box of 30 capsules where i live, (20mg presentation, i use it for medical prescription for years now).
And that's the price list, you can get it for as low as $0.8, this chemical is very cheap to produce and the license has expired years ago.

Try taking a little baking soda, nothing works better! Like absolute instant relief, well 10 seconds 10-20 seconds. Tums worthless.

You need to go to a gastroenterologist. sounds like your flap (stomach lid) is malfunctioning.

Yep. Mine said the same thing. I was on similar medication for years. I got sort of permanent relief after stopping coffee and tea, and took orange peel extract for a month.

Yeah tums does jack for me. Are you saying you just eat like a spoonful of baking soda? Or do you dissolve a certain amount in water? I'm curious. Tell more. Wink
