The Weekender chrono has a titanium case and bracelet and a sapphire crystal for $149. That's mind blowing if you like the style.

Watch people are snobs. In my experience Mechanical/Automatic watches are COOL, but generally an absolute pain in the ass. They require maintenance/adjustment, break if dropped, have to be re-set to time if you don't wear them for more than a day or so, and even the most expensive models are far less accurate than a $10 Casio quartz. There are a lot of very good reasons quartz has completely replaced mechanical watches for practical applications. FYI, when quartz watches first came around they were immediately recognized to be superior and were far MORE expensive than a typical mechanical watch.

If the cool factor is worth all those downsides to you then go for it. If not, buy yourself a quartz and wear it without worry for the next 10-20 years.

Personally, I have automatics and almost never wear them anymore.

Love the look of the Nighthawk, but the hands are just too hard to see. Lots of good prices here though

Yes, good value, but the titanium in these watches will be more easily prone to scratches. To more higher-grade titanium I recommend upgrading to Citizen Super Titanium collection.

Yes, bracelets are also Citizen's super titanium. I'd guess it's grade 7 titanium or similar.

Thanks. I basically stopped wearing expensive watches altogether. I'm not even in a trade (healthcare IT) and somehow I manage to mangle up whatever bracelets and watches I wear pretty badly somehow just by resting on desks and moving about daily.

Things that scratch easily = no bueno for me.

Is the weekender still worth it as quartz? New to the watch hobby and haven't really considered any quartz watches as I thought it was cheaper inside. Any insight is greatly appreciated.
