Hey, I had this happen to me about two weeks ago as well. What's happening is Fandango is forcing the merging of the two accounts now and I couldn't log in to Vudu with my password. I found out you need to log into Fandango first, complete the merge, and then log out of Vudu if you haven't already and log back in.

For what it's worth, this happened because my Fandango account had a different password and I was opting out of merging for as long as I could. Turns out that was what caused the problem for me.

Avoid VUDU! My original VUDU account was created under my Walmart account and after Fandango merged its user database with VUDU, I can no longer sign into my account. Waiting for support to fix the issue, but it has been 2 weeks and no luck. I have hundreds of movies that I no longer have access too as they are not Movie Anywhere participants (MGM, Paramount and Lionsgate).

Can't get the GC to go through. They keep saying that the transaction was declined to protect me from fraud. I have like 30 movies and TV shows and I use the exact same card I was going to buy the GC from.

Thanks for the advice, but still no luck on my end. I set the password to be the same for both website and get the lovely error message 'Internal Error. Please contact customer service' and they have been of no luck other than asking me the basics as if it was on my end (VPN, update password, what my IP address, etc.)

Did you get this resolved? It sounds like you were just updating your password but you absolutely have to merge from Fandangos website. It may help to do it from a desktop and search for the actual option. Also, maybe give this a try: https://www.vudu.com/content/fandangoNow/move

I think some of their pages are really wonky due to the merger and that may be where you're hitting roadblocks. Either way, hope you are able to resolve it soon!

After about 4 weeks of communication, their techs have discovered the issue and don't have a remedy yet. It was indeed due to the latest updates of the database merger, even though my accounts were already merged. The solution for right now until they fix things is to have two different email address, one for each platform. This change can only be done by tech support.
