Is this worth the price or better off spending $500 for an advanced version, I'm new to smoking and want something that I won't regret however don't need something huge...

This is a great deal. I bought this same model back in May of 2020 for $369 before inflation skyrocketed. Excellent deal for someone looking into a pellet grill and doesn't need all the fancy bells and whistles.
