Just shy of a decade later. Oh how far Bioware has fallen.

Did this game ever get a graphical upgrade?

I enjoyed Dragon Age: Inquisition, but be forewarned that there's a lot of filler in this game. Avoid your completionist tendencies and focus on the main quests if you want to enjoy this game. There's a lot of uninteresting fetch quests which add little to the game other than playtime.

I've heard good things about the Trespasser DLC, but I haven't played it.

As other poster said, the volume of little fetch quests style things is overwhelming and you should deny your completionist instincts. Do big stuff, do some of the small/side stuff as you see fit.

Great fun game, just don't kill yourself trying to find all those shards just for some late game resistance buff.

Also, leave the first zone, you don't have to complete it all before exploring the world.

If you do both those things, a lengthy 9/10 RPG awaits you.

It got an upgrade to 60fps for Series X, but still runs at 900p. Base PS4 runs it at 1080p.

This was the game from Bioware which showed they were no longer the great company they once were. Tons of people left by this point and you can see the quality fell. It's still a good game but it's nowhere near the games that came before it. Everything after this game is no longer Bioware.

A lot of people disliked this game back in the day, I personally thought it was quite fun! Not DA Origins level of fun, but 50x better than DA 2. For this price, its a no brainer to me.

I've had the original in its wrapping for nearly a decade. Is the DLC worth it? I'm a super time constrained parent.

This game probably just isnt for you then. There is a lot of lore, a lot of fetch quests, and its just a moderately long game that feels weird to play once every couple weeks. There are a ton on fun indie games that are much more fitting for your life style.

This is part of why I have been putting it off. I really enjoyed the first one in college, then the second was "fine". I've mostly stuck to shorter story driven or action adventure games since then.

I was hoping if i stick to the main story it's something that will keep my attention for the next handful of months for maybe a couple hours a week.

The story is not even in the same league as DAEmbarrassment. The gameplay is moderately fun (cooldown based real time). Gameplay carries the game, but gets stale 40 hours in. If I were in your shoes, I would find something thats enjoyable in short bursts and highly replayable.

Sounds good. Jedi Survivor just came to gamepass and giving that some of my free time.

Thats a great game and works great for short bursts of gameplay, and best of all, you always feel like you are accomplishing something each session. Have fun! Lies of P is amazing, you should give that a try next (pretty sure its on gamepass).
