I have had this machine for 5 months. I really like it. When i purchased there was an extra ten dollar coupon from buydig. It pulls a nice shot with nice crema. The app does allow for some customization. The coffee is brewed as an americano so it doesn't get the overbrewed bitterness. The steamer is nice because you can control how foamy you want it. The water container is a little small, i can get 4 cups of coffee from 1 fill. The bean hopper is also a little small but not bad. There is an extender for beans but i have only seen it for a tchibo machine which is the manufaturer. The brew group is super easy to clean. Great machine!

Agreed! App is a joke though; it does nothing that you can't do from the panel buttons, and offers no on/off/brew/notification/voice control functionality (i.e., feature fraud compared to Keurig Smart Brewer).

Same machine. if so, this is a deal

But as others said, not true espresso. but better than pods. However, my Nespresso machines are wonderful (vertuo and original)

https://www.businessinsider.com/g...ine-review

This to me would be a huge flaw in auto machine. Should be perfect each shot.

Another issue we ran into was inconsistency. Sometimes shots of espresso would be watery and under-extracted. Without changing any of the settings, the next shot pulled would come out perfect. Without direct control of many of the variables, it's hard to know for sure what caused the differences between shots.

Ive had this same machine for 2 years. Sometimes not enough beans drop into the hopper and it comes out watery. I stir up the beans before each cup. It's annoying but I love my machine.... No pod waste.

Why such a large price difference for this espresso machine?
High is $600+ at places, but nothing close to $229, is this a refurbished or fake?

Not fake, as buydig is a trusted site. It says "Brand new" on the website for this item. Per CCC, Amazon's lowest was last year for $230'ish, highest was in the $700s.

I would buy the Tchibo machine over this on sale frequently for 299 unless you only like espresso. I have both this cafe machine and the Tchibo which are both made by GE. The Tchibo has an espresso size, but also coffee so you get the best of both worlds. That being said I have had them for years and the build quality is fantastic. https://tchibo.us/products/the-tchibo

Bought this thing around Christmas and it has been an absolute game changer. Makes Keurig seem like diner coffee. My first one had a leak and I returned it and bought another because it was so, so good.

Can't recommend highly enough, even at $300-ish which is about what mine cost if I recall

Surprised how overwhelmingly positive reviews here are on SD considering the 3.9 star average on Amazon.

I bought one back in November and loved it since then. I liked it so much that I purchased two more as gifts for Younger Siblings. Never had any issues, except the steam wand makes screeching sound.

This machine is great but people complain about problems that arise because they fail to do basic maintenance. Rinse the brew unit every few weeks and keep the area clear beneath the grinder with the provided brush. It is all really easy but people be lazy and like to complain

As a lazy person, I can confirm. I purchased my machine a month ago and it does not work. Granted, I've been too lazy to even take it out of the box and set it up…

I also have a phillips 3200 latte go. The one thing i noticed is the size of the compressed pods are smaller on the phillips than the ge. I think the ge pulls a better shot.
