Never purchased anything by the PowerSpec brand and am not even a gamer, but would this be a good value for a desktop that can handle heavy duty multitasking, photo and video editing and could last a while? Processor looks like no slouch and only 2 years old. Is the only drawback that it's a power hog for my needs? Not DDR5? Or still too expensive for what it is?

It would definitely be a good value. If you got a bundle at microcenter with this processor , a mobo, and memory it would run you $330, the GPU is $260. So for $100 more you get the PSU, case, ssd etc fully assembled. It would definitely cost more to build this yourself.

I barely use it because it doesn't wake up nicely from hibernation / suspend mode.
Seems concerning. A modern desktop with Windows installed on SSD should wake up pretty quickly, shouldn't it?

On my laptop, I have it set to only sleep when I tell it to, but with this 650W beast, I'm guessing that would be a big power waste...

Thank you for the quick reply. In terms of slick deals, there's no urgency to this purchase and I'm about to leave town for a month. I could take time to pick one up today/tomorrow then not set it up until the return window has ended. Still worth it or would you wait for another deal?

Something very important to realize about this PowerSpec stuff is that, unlike mainstream brand prebuilts, these are just built with off the shelf components as if you were building them yourself. No weird DTX mobos or converted business cases (I'm looking at you Dell…)

supposedly its something with the graphics card. There was some flashing exercise that you could do to fix it - I couldn't be bothered. I hear way too many nightmare stories about people who brick their machines flashing stuff.
Do you have a link in regards to flashing the GPU to fix it? I have the same issue with my PowerSpec desktop from Microcenter and would like to fix it. Thank you,

Not the most knowledgeable computer person, but the people at microcenter are amazing!! But yes, this should work for everything you listed. I recommend getting a legit monitor, got mine from best buy. Don't cheap out on one, it's definitely worth spending the money

I dont have this prebuilt, but my media pc that I put together has a 7600 and I have never had a single problem, besides who "flashes" a gpu? Sounds like either uninformed or just bs. You update the 7600 via adrenaline and thats that. If you want to call that "flashing" then sure, you flash it I guess (I dont agree with this wording). So ya, sounds like a person who does not quite understand computers.

This is a pretty decent deal, thhe 7600 has gone up a bit in price and its reflected here. At best you could make this yourself for roughly the same cost...with that said I would just buy this and be done with it.

I don't - I acknowledge that I am not normal but until manufacturers are replacing devices that they brick with replacements on the spot, same day - I'm just not doing any updates. The risk of being without something that I paid that much money for is just too great for me.
First off, it has nothing to do with the gpu. Secondly, dont spout false info to others who may not understand things like yourself, they may miss out on something good because of it. Lastly, listen to @wherestheanykey.

According to Microcenter. Seems to have a lot to do with the GPU and not any BIOS settings.

My browser wont allow me to open the link, but I will check it out later. What in particular was wrong with gpu? I have the gpu and never encountered any problems besides the obvious game crashes time to time. If it truly is a 7600 defect you would think there would be a lot of topics on reddit or twitter taking about it, there would be no way this issue only applies to this particular prebuilt. Its wild regardless, something really dumb is going on here.

This is a pretty good deal. You're saving $100 or so vs building but obviously, you're going to immediately want to add an nvme drive. You save some money here but unless you need a PC right now, the rx 7600, am4, 16GB ram and a 500GB SSD isn't quite a sweet spot for gaming over say, next 3 years.

New low tier AMD GPUs are incoming, a new gen of am5 as well. If you have something serviceable ATM, I'd wait
