M4 chip is out and very sure M4 pro and max will be out this fall....
Strongly doubt M4 MBPs will be out this year, plus they will be full price instead of 750 dollars off. The M4 is not worth a $750 upgrade, and impossible to buy if you need a laptop now.

The M4 Max whenever that's announced will definitely be worth the upgrade. The added the M4 to the iPad so they could sell them because people stopped buying them. Duh.
Is this a good deal? I live near a Microcenter but find it a little hard to judge if this will be a good purchase. My use case is davinci resolve video editing (not too complex ones, just simple ones with ACES transform, color stabilization and the like) and usual office productivity work.
