Just FYI, this model does NOT charge your battery while on AC, that model is much more expensive.

Decent deal though.

Like the other reply, I'm just verifying that this model does NOT charge your battery when plugged in.

I've had that Ryobi tripod light stand on my wishlist for the longest time and waiting for a sale. Mainly because I have a lot more of the Ryobi 18 volt batteries (6) than the Milwaukee (2)

Wondering how these 2 compare.

Does anyone know if this has the white led hue or is it the yellow "trueview" crap that Milwaukee has with the previous version?

I have this, it is good for what it is but I prefer the m12 version as it is smaller and has similar performance. The light is a bright white 4k if I had to guess.

It does not charge while plugged in, you couldn't even if you wanted to as the battery and plug go in at the same spot.

1 amp hour gives you about an hour on high and one and a half on low.

Wondering if there's a hack to redo the wiring to have it charge at same time while plugged in

How do the two compare mechanically? I have the M12 and quite frequently get annoyed with the way the extension pole works. It doesn't have analog adjustment and tends to lose the position with the detents and falls down on me if it gets jostled

I have the m12 version and thinking about upgrading. my only gripe about the m12 is if i want a lot of light in the garage when working on the interior or detailing the exterior it isn't bright enough.
