Wonder how this compares to the hp omen 17 with 13900HX / 4090 GPU? I bought the omen from a B&H sale a couple weeks ago. I've had to add a laptop cooling pad just to keep it cool enough to game. W/O the pad it overheats and shuts off. I'm heading that it's an issue with the 13900HX, but don't know. I haven't seen enough reviews on this laptop.

If you go through the configurator there's another $150 off that stacks with the coupon code. With 16GB RAM was able to get it to $2095 in cart before tax+shipping.

I think it's cuz of the (infamous) core i9 in there. I do not have good impression of these core i9s. If I am given option to take a laptop with an i9 in the same price as of the high end i7. I'll still chose the one with i7.

What was the configuration?
I tried and the lowest I got was $2137 with the coupon GAMING100.
