The models with other storage sizes are discounted as well - looks like all models are discounted by $70:

I suggest not buying the 1TB or the 2TB from Micro Center. They buy 512GB models and upgrade the drives themselves. Lenovo wont service their SSDs, and they have well documented Heat issues.... Your Box will come Retapped, the internal Seal will be broken.

Meaning all legion gos have heat issues, or only/mostly ones with the upgraded drives?

edit: looks like many reviews complain about the visiontek 2tb drive failing within a 2-3 month window, reviews make it sound like it's a known issue with those specific drives, maybe the drive isn't made for this use case and needs a large heat sink, IDK

This just happened to me last week. SSD overheated and got the blue screen of death. Took it to Microcenter, they honored the one year warranty and replaced it.

Yeah man, glad they honored it, but still a hastle. I took mine back as soon as I saw they upgraded there 1TBs even... They are putting the wrong cheap SSDs in... glad you got a new one, but I would expect it to happen again.
