I don't know about these "Industrial" type batteries but the regular Amazon Basics alkaline AA batteries are not worth a damn after going through around 100 of them. They perform like a carbon zinc battery.

My impression is these are just lower quality batteries. Previously not sold in the USA, but the listing is from 2019.

They probably have some different cheaper composition which makes them self-discharge faster. However, I'm not a battery expert in this area.

Interesting...new product in the US? No price tracking on camel3 and no reviews in US. Is this a good price or product compared to their regular ones?

The 3rd image in shows a comparison to the usual orange Amazon AA's and it shows these are ideal for higher power devices. These last 5 years vs 10 years on the orange ones. We go through batteries with kids when the rechargeable are claimed, worth a shot.

From the "Amazon Basics 150-Pack AA Alkaline Industrial Batteries [amazon.com]" reviews. About 9K of them. Seem to be overall good. I'll try 'em for 5 bucks. Plus, don't have to buy 150 of them.

$0.10/battery is the price point that I've (unrealistically) had for 20 years, and this is $0.137/battery. Close enough, in for one

They should really make a lithium battery. So far energizer is the only game in town and the prices are insane now.

Lithium batteries handle extreme heat/cold much better making them ideal for outside applications if you live in places with more of an extreme.

I have found the opposite to be true; the output current at extremely low temperatures is sub-par for lithium.

Better than that Woot 72-pack standard Alkaline AmazonBasics battery deal for $13. That comes out to 18 cents/battery, this is 16 cents/battery in addition to being industrial alkaline vs standard alkaline

Oh well, what would I do with so many batteries...
