Is there really any noticeable quality enhancement in getting it on Blu-ray?
I have most, if not all, of the Hanna-Barbera Classics DVD series, and they all look fine. I have a couple of digital and Blu-Ray releases, and the picture quality looks to be the same as the DVD version.
Seeing that this aired in the 60s and 80s...got me thinking about what exactly were the staple 70s cartoons. Shows that started in the 70s and encapsulate it as well as lived on to this day...seems like it was a slow decade. Other than Scooby-Doo, not much going on for that decade.
Well, Googling "worst decade for cartoons" and I'm not surprised.
Total deal at $10 and happy with the DVD. The Flintstones is $45.95 for DVD. I'd rather have it look closer to the original TV broadcast, than upgraded to blu-ray or even 4K, in my opinion. In for 1, thanks OP!
This show seems to have actually been transferred to a 2K intermediary for the Blu-Ray release.
Hmm. Anyone have any knowledge of how it compares to the DVD PQ?
I could only find one good bluray review, and it didn't compare with the DVD.

If I'm not mistaken they could remaster it in the future for 4K since this was still produced on film. However, unfortunately interest for high quality transfers has diminished with the advent of streaming and the general public choosing convenience (and subscriptions) over quality and one time purchases.
