Imagine turning that 8" by hand.

Quick release or GTFO. Even if it is cheap.

I guess you could try welding a nut on the end or something.

Well said.

I'm just surprised no one has been thread crapping about how inferior these are to bar clamps. To be fair, bar clamps are better for most things. But there are times when a C-clamp is the right tool for the job. It's worth having 1 or 2 of these, but there seems to be no limit to the number of bar clamps one can want to have on hand.

My 2 cents is simple machines like clamps are where harbor freight excels. In terms of home/garage use not professionally.

Imagine working in a project where you have to do a ton of clamping of same sizes, and you only have to turn it once to get started

Anyhow this is like the normal everyday price for one of these at hf or Wally
