Comments that I found on this highligh the cons - it's doesn't pick well on hardwood, too loud and some stated that it doesn't last long (like below one of them copied below)

I just bought the Shark Matrix Plus from Costco yesterday. I had done extensive research on multiple brands, but this was a pure impulse purchase. This is my 3rd robot vacuum, but my first Shark. I was excited to explore their app in comparison to iRobot's app. While I really like their app better, this vacuum is much louder than my other two and does not pick up as much from my hardwood floors. Lastly, it is 1/4 of an inch too tall to fit under my counters, so it leaves a trail of crumbs around my kick plates. It's definitely going back to Costco tomorrow. Lesson learned!

Was curious about this given the strong Shark Matrix review on Vacuum Wars. I saw how long the delivery wait was, so figured I'd try a new one locally at Walmart.

In the past, I've used an iLife that while having lidar, did not save map and had multiple software issues. Returned.

Then for years, I've had a Roborock S5 and it lasted 5 years. Last straw was when it ignored a 'no go zone' ( Why????) and ran into the dogs wet food and I decided time to replace ( but not necessarily upgrade.)

I have 1600 square feet 70/30 hardwood/ carpet.

Was hoping this would be a good replacement for the S5. Fast answer is no. Battery life is shorter ( charged it to 100 before using). Mapping is inferior. Runs slower ( but maybe tweaking the inferior initial mapping?).

Still putting it through it's paces, but compared to my old S5.....its going back.

$150? Why the hell not. Just keeping it in my tiled den area where I keep my litter robot 4 to clean up the litter on the floor for me. Haven't had one since 2015 and it was a bottom of the line roomba. The fact that it self empties is a big plus considering the old school ones had a tiny bin. Hopefully these have vastly improved since then.

Not sure how this compares but I've got the LiDAR vac/mop one. It's super loud and frequently gets stuck between chair legs till it dies.
