For some reason this brand slows my router down to a crawl they use about 12 watts each so that's about $7 a month if you have 10 of them depending on your electricity cost but what gets me is the video buffering on my TV when I have all these connected once I went around and delinked these my video and Wi-Fi got much better and I'm on a fiber optic connection

the 2.4GHz wifi band only has a few non-overlapping channels, and interference is pretty much guaranteed if you have neighbors.
if you can hardline your TV or force it to stay on your 5GHz wifi network, you should have a much better experience.

12 watts by the plug itself can not be right. Are you measuring with something plugged in and turned on?
My smart plugs from Feit Electric (bought from Costco) use 0.4W when off and 0.8W when on (blue LED), with nothing plugged in. A comment on a Reddit post shares a similar power usage with their Wyze smart plug.

You're not mathing correctly, no way it's using that much
