And how is the EV9 doing on long trips? I thought I needed a phev? I do too many spontaneous long trips for EV (powder chasing)
My Xterra was relatively reliable in the 135k miles I had it until I totalled it. I still miss it. Not the gas milage.
Plug-in has the Mitsubishi 2.4 and the plug-in system
My car before that was a 2008 Acura TL. That car was trash.

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) is the parent company that makes Mitsubishi engines.
SAME supplies engines to MMC and several Chinese automakers. Nissan owns 34% of MMC, but doesn't mean they make them! The two companies are part of the Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance, which was founded in 1999
Just like Geely owns Volvo!

OK, so that last one's old, but still. Mitsu's not in good shape with respect to cars in the USA (and yes, I'm aware they're a *MASSIVE* company, and their car division in the USA is only a tiny portion of their balance sheets. In order for that warranty to be worth anything, a dealer has to be near my house and still in business... right now there's one 9 miles away (here's a picture: https://lh3.googleuserc
You bring up increased sales. Everyone has had increased sales; nobody was selling cars in a good portion of the pandemic; some stats should just be ignored. I'm glad, for the sake of competition, that the Outlander is doing well. But I would never buy a Mitsubishi. Their heyday was in the 80s and 90s.
And who cares about all this? Don't like this deal, just pass by
I understand that the newer version is even better.
If the Mitsu is based on the Rogue, I'd recommend it.
Original post says not available in my state anyway so I guess it doesn't matter.
I have no axe to grind here.
In our neck 'o the woods, Audi, Tesla, Hyundai/Kia, and Toyota/Lexus are the predominant marques.
