Please stay away from the Mirai. The hydrogen/H2 fuel costs $36/kg. The $15K fuel card they will give is good for 25K miles. It'll cost ~$180 to fill up, which is good for ~300 miles. I'm part of a telegram group of Mirai owners. Many there cannot get near to 400 miles advertised range, no matter how hard they try. People in SolCal have to deal with unreliable H2 stations. People in SF just had their only 3 local stations closed permanently.

I was looking into the Outlander PHEV for a new car as we have a full EV already and wanted a 3 row SUV plug in for longer trips. Eventually went with the new Kia EV9 as it had captains chairs (needed for my 2 car seats) so the 3rd row was still accessible and the Outlander seemed to get terrible gas mileage without the battery. So far, the EV9 is amazing but if this deal was active when I bought it I would've thought twice about the outlander.

And how is the EV9 doing on long trips? I thought I needed a phev? I do too many spontaneous long trips for EV (powder chasing)

After owning 2008 Rogue and 2013 Infiniti JX35, I told myself Nissan never again, constant issues. Constant. I'd literally get in and deal with VW's electrical issues again than the neverending mantra of Nissan problems. Everything that could fall apart will.

My Xterra was relatively reliable in the 135k miles I had it until I totalled it. I still miss it. Not the gas milage.

I drive a 2013 Infiniti M37. Absolute champ with regular oil changes.
My car before that was a 2008 Acura TL. That car was trash.

So, I tried to prequalify. But when I look at the APR on my area it's giving me 5-8%. So how does this work when I get the loan from the said lender that's 0APR in 48mos. Thanks.

Okay, 0% is nice, but if you can afford payments large enough to pay off a new vehicle in 48 months, are you really going to choose a Mitsubishi in 2024? I'm sure they're not terrible, because I think there are actually very few truly bad cars on the market these days, but if you have your choice of anything in the price range, why the heck are you going to pick a Mitsubishi? Please explain your logic if you bought/are buying one, because I don't understand why you would pass on every other brand.
We did, purchased a 2023 Outlander cash $32k OTD. My wife's a Dr and likes Mitsubishi she could have afforded anything basically, has owned 3 of them now and never had a break down, worst fix on her previous Outlander sport was a bad Tmc module. Gave it to my parents rather than trading it in, last I heard it's over 200k miles.

No, they don't!
Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) is the parent company that makes Mitsubishi engines.
SAME supplies engines to MMC and several Chinese automakers. Nissan owns 34% of MMC, but doesn't mean they make them! The two companies are part of the Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance, which was founded in 1999

Just like Geely owns Volvo!

OK, so that last one's old, but still. Mitsu's not in good shape with respect to cars in the USA (and yes, I'm aware they're a *MASSIVE* company, and their car division in the USA is only a tiny portion of their balance sheets. In order for that warranty to be worth anything, a dealer has to be near my house and still in business... right now there's one 9 miles away (here's a picture: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com...1360-h1020 -- note that the USED CAR SALES logos are LARGER than the MITSUBISHI logos...they finally cleaned it up a while back: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com...1360-h1020), one 25 miles away, and the rest are 40+ miles away. And I'm in a major metropolitan area. But I will grant you: there are 5. Can't say for how long.

You bring up increased sales. Everyone has had increased sales; nobody was selling cars in a good portion of the pandemic; some stats should just be ignored. I'm glad, for the sake of competition, that the Outlander is doing well. But I would never buy a Mitsubishi. Their heyday was in the 80s and 90s.

And who cares about all this? Don't like this deal, just pass by

I've got a 2020 Rogue with 65,000 miles, and am very happy with it.
I understand that the newer version is even better.
If the Mitsu is based on the Rogue, I'd recommend it.

Better deal for plug-in is lease buyout to get the $7500 EV discount.
How does this actually work. I tried to buy one earlier but they said I would owe the same amount regardless of when I paid it off. So the two years of monthly plus residual. So it was no difference. The lease ate up the 7500 so they were basically just pocketing the money.

Original post says not available in my state anyway so I guess it doesn't matter.

You are just hating. There is no way you haven't a Mitsubishi in 10 years. No way.
I'm offering a POV.
I have no axe to grind here.
In our neck 'o the woods, Audi, Tesla, Hyundai/Kia, and Toyota/Lexus are the predominant marques.
