Only worthwhile if all your devices have it. Beware some network cards wont do 2.5 they only do 1 or 10. But i have a similar one from a few months ago thats been working well when I upgraded my fiber to 2gb/2gb

I do have a computer that has a built-in Intel network card 10 gig and it doesn't do 2.5. I also use a melanox connectX 3 that connects at like 1.5 but it doesn't do 2.5. I don't generally use that speed on my PC so that one doesn't matter as much to me.

I think I got lucky and bought a dual port Intel x550 t2 off eBay for 65 dollars in December that runs the main of my network in the home. That's been working great. I did also upgrade my Wi-Fi access points to the TP link that connects at 2.5. I pull about 700 to my phone from them.
