I can appreciate a simple 2 channel amp.... but not having an optical input or subwoofer output in 2024 is just hard for me to accept. I feel like this should be $99 tops. If you want to use this with a TV setup you're going to need a digital to analog converter. Here is one for $14

https://www.amazon.com/PROZOR-Dig...B00KNNSKV0

Also lacks a phono preamp, so all you vinyl hipsters out there will need to buy one of those too if you want to hook up your turntable. There are a ton on AMZ under $20.
Everything about this receiver is disappointing. If you only need background music probably fine, but if you want to play it cleanly at higher volumes it's going to run out of steam. Paired with cheap speakers it will be ok, but don't expect much. If you're not real picky about sound quality, this is your amp.

I always tell people to go with a high quality used home theater amp. Many have better sound quality and more real power, and often include a phono preamp, subwoofer connections, and multiple inputs via HDMI, optical and analog RCA - giving you many more options. Just run in 2 channel mode if you only want stereo sound.

I know many people like this amp, but I had a different experience. It was one of the worst amps I've ever tried. It sounded trash with KEF Q150, KEF Q350, and JBL 530. YMMV. Not trying to start an argument war here. If you like it, good for you.

Would love something like this (price) with a network connection for my deck speakers. Right now I have a very old HK 5.1 receiver that turns on remotely with a harmony, then I use an echo dot to stream to it. Takes up a lot of space and using two devices to use it remotely.

I use Yamaha amps for my receivers. They seemed to have stopped supporting their network streaming protocol (MusicCast) on most new devices. I've been waiting for either a used or inexpensive device like this to come out to add another zone to my system.

At this point I've given up and switched to Arylic Up2stream. They are built off of an opensource implementation called Linkplay. Arylic has a whole bunch of different options which go from DYI component boards to 2 channel x 50 watt amps (A50+). While they aren't perfect they have been filling the void Yamaha has left.

This is not for home theater, it's a stereo receiver with bluetooth. If my 20+ year old Sony receiver ever dies I would replace it with this to run my garage and outdoor speakers.

Ditto. I have a fairly modern AVR for the living room, but for bedroom or other purposes I'm using old amps from the 90's. If they blow up I'll be scouring garage sales and pawn shops.

Nice for a garage of pool shed. I've had mine in a similar situation for a few years hooked up to outdoor speakers and it works for me.

If you don't need an FM tuner, the WiiM Amp would fit the bill nicely.

Anyone have a rec on a small stereo amp with Bluetooth? The key is small.. I want to throw it in a closet or cabinet to power in wall speakers.
