I never realized you can buy these— I always assumed they appeared on their own once you reached a certain age.

Wtf is sugar free
Usually just means they add some kind of alternative sweetener that doesn't need to be labelled as sugar like stevia, sucralose, or aspartame.

The chocolate part ruins these. Only all caramel ones are good.

You really think that "best by" date matters? I'm pretty sure these would be edible in 50 years which is about as long as they've been sitting in my great grandparent's candy bowl.

You do get carded for these; must meet that age requirement or else you must give up your youth card. Can't carry both even with that perk unlocked.

Although these are sugar free, you might be able to get by with it if you carry nutritionalist's pass card.

These are individually wrapped hard candies. They should still be good for years.

isomalt? why?
Isomalt is a good sugar substitute for hard candy. Since it's the first ingredient, it would be important for texture and lack of aftertaste, which are things that would be downsides for other sugar substitutes.

That said, isomalt is not the first choice for keto or other low-carb diets. It contributes calories and can affect blood glucose.

I have had these in the past. They're pretty good. If you limit to 1-2 a day, you're probably fine, even on a keto diet. This is also a very good deal, in that it works out to ~$1 a bag, which is way less than you'll find in a store, if you can find them at all.

This is tempting, but I will pass. They are a nice little treat, but not something I need.
