The style is closer to Ogre Battle/Ogre Battle 64, if you're familiar with either of those two games. FFT has a grid-based system with individual units attacking each other. The Ogre Battle system instead had "squadrons" of units attacking each other, where the combat then turns into two parties trading volleys for a few turns (think of how combat unfolds in something like Advance Wars).
These niche physical releases, they could go lower but you also run the risk of the stock running out from major retailers and the publisher not re-pressing. Then you're dependent on secondary market for availability at an inflated price. If you don't care about physical, I wouldn't worry about holding for a better price.

It's quite a bit different than FFT.

Movement on the battlefield is somewhat real time.

The individual battles are autonomous. So basically you maneuver the units around the map, then when you encounter an enemy you can swap with near by units or battle with that selected unit.

From there, the individual battle will play out (you can skip the scene or watch it commence). The individual battles are predicated on class types. So horsemen are strong against whatever classes, archers versus flying, stuff like that,

It's more Fire Emblem than FFT tactics. No grids though.

I haven't had time to beat it, but it's a very well made game.

Hmm… for the patient ones, should I be waiting for this to go lower?

The game really gets into your brain resulting in sleepless nights where you're thinking of the optimal formation for your units.

Isn't story and gameplay like all there is to games? What would you actually be enjoying if you think they both can be improved lol

I don't often complete games, much less 100% them, anymore; I did with this one. It scratches the FFT itch well enough and the dialogues and story are great. One of my favorite games ever and I'm currently 75 hours into it.
