Don't mistake this for the new computers coming out with Snapdragon Elite chips. This is like Intel Atom level experimentation before a company gets their CPUs right. If this ran ChromeOS or Linux, it might be useable. Otherwise, stay away

I have a Galaxy Book Go with this CPU and Windows runs just fine on the 8cx Gen 2 so long as you stick with ARM64 native applications. Support for Windows ARM64 seems to be getting pretty good recently. Visual Studio in all its flavors is available in native ARM64.
Having said that, this is pretty much a tool for getting one's feet wet in the Windows ARM64 ecosystem in anticipation of more powerful CPU's in the future. If you don't know the difference between AMD64 and ARM64 or you aren't willing to chase down the native installers, then this laptop probably isn't for you.

Stay away from this CPU. Spend money on some intel or AMD CPU.
There are a lot of people who would benefit from this cpu over an amd or Intel machine. I have one and it's a great device for office, browsing, and video calls.
The cpu benchmarks are a little oriented to Intel cpus. Real world performence (look for analytics on surface pro models which use Intel vs Qualcomm chips) the performence of Qualcomm chips is usually more like 2/3 to 3/4 of a comparable Intel lower power chip. The appeal of Qualcomm chips is that they are cheaper, and have way better power throttling. The Intel 1315u is better described as a low power chip rather than low end, because computers with it still retail for a bit more.
Both chips have their use.
In my humble opinion tho, a windows machine with a Qualcomm cpu is preferable and a better deal than a chromeos "computer" with an Intel cpu.
you don't need to jailbreak anything to get out of S mode.
You do if you want to run "legacy" x86 exe that are not from the Microsoft store. This ARM chip should be able to run 32 bit x86 app, but not if you can't jailbreak out of S Mode.
