It's a decent price for the kit, but if you don't need the misc the MM420 is on sale for $49.99 at Amazon (HD will PM also) and is a more capable meter.

It cannot measure capacitance. Also, the leads are too thick, I would replace them immediately for more pointy ones, but that is another $10.

Yep, and if you're someone who is at all interested in a few easy (and relatively safe) electrical DIY type stuff by following YouTube videos, it's worth getting a multimeter that does capacitance.

The run cap on our 7yo unit went bad in the characteristic way and I ended up getting the $17 multimeter from Harbor Freight to test it: https://www.harborfreight.com/9-f...59410.html

$17 for the multimeter and $14 for the capacitor delivered overnight from Amazon and the AC was back up and running, no $150+ visit from an HVAC repair tech needed.

Looks like the sale is over at Home Depot, but Amazon has several 'open box' under other sellers for about $42, FWIW..
