If you have time.. say overnight when you're sleeping. Just put 1 to 2 tea bags into a quart jar with water and let it steep overnight. Usually, you will wait until after work/school to get some so you will have a cold brew tea that's been steeping for 20 to 22 hours

Isn't this just a pitcher? If you use coffee in this you will probably want to filter it out via a paper filter anyway right?

I used to use the Mr. Coffee version of this all the time, but I hate how they are uni-taskers... Now I just heat up 1 quart of water in a glass measuring cup in the microwave for 8 minutes, add 4 family tea bags, let it steep for 5 minutes, pour it into a gallon container, fill with water and it's done. Nothing to store, and it's faster.

Does the steeping basket actually hold water? The last time I looked at replacing our old Mr Coffee iced tea maker (The Iced Tea Pot) seems like I remember a redesign where the hot water just pours over the tea bag. There was no knob to open a valve letting the steeped tea down into the pitcher. We like to steep our tea for hours.

You could just throw some coffee grounds and then use a $3 cloth strainer. That's pretty much what you get when you buy a "cold brew maker".

Not even on sale. Why is it the front page deal when it is a regular price?

You could as ive seen cold brew bags that are basically giant tea bags but coffee.
But someone recently told me to use a French press for cold brew coffee. I only have an insulated SS French press, so that won't necessarily work. I guess it could but it would take much longer to drop the temp down. But there are other options.

I just use cold crew tea bags. Easy to make and tastes fine. I either make a pitcher or use 1 bag and make tea in my 32oz metal tumbler.
