If you have time.. say overnight when you're sleeping. Just put 1 to 2 tea bags into a quart jar with water and let it steep overnight. Usually, you will wait until after work/school to get some so you will have a cold brew tea that's been steeping for 20 to 22 hours

I used to use the Mr. Coffee version of this all the time, but I hate how they are uni-taskers... Now I just heat up 1 quart of water in a glass measuring cup in the microwave for 8 minutes, add 4 family tea bags, let it steep for 5 minutes, pour it into a gallon container, fill with water and it's done. Nothing to store, and it's faster.
Does the steeping basket actually hold water? The last time I looked at replacing our old Mr Coffee iced tea maker (The Iced Tea Pot) seems like I remember a redesign where the hot water just pours over the tea bag. There was no knob to open a valve letting the steeped tea down into the pitcher. We like to steep our tea for hours.

Too bulky (esp if you have limited counter/storage space) and unnecessary. Just get a cold brew tube and use one of your mason jars. Then you also store you concoctions in the fridge and rotate the tube out. Try vodka and fruit! I use this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071WXSCSC/
