recently played through this the last time it went on sale and was blown away, super fun game
Other than being under water, no. It's nothing Bioshock. This has no combat. You just run and hide from monsters. It's like Outlast. It's a good game, but you should know what you're getting into. There is a safe mode, where you will still have the monsters, but they can't kill you. So, at least you can still experience the game if the idea of running and hiding doesn't appeal to you.

Thanks! Going to pick it up. Even cheaper than last time. Anything like BioShock?

Thanks. Sounds interesting. I like stealth games and recently broke out the Original Thief series.

Nice. Thief is a good series. I wish that would come back around. I'm even one of the very few people who enjoyed the PS4-era Thief. This is definitely worth it for a few bucks. It's not a very long game, either.
To add a counterpoint- I played this for the first time recently. The game is good, and a little oldschool - my attention span required me to consult walkthroughs at almost all parts of the game, common for Frictional games for me.
When people say "the game is art", I think they mean the story. This game suffers a little from what I'll call the inspiration problem. Probably when this game came out (9 ya) the story was more unique, but in the time since maybe it is less so, possibly it inspired other art. From today's perspective you may not find the themes as revolutionary or the reveals as mindblowing.
All this said, my bottom line is: at this price, the question is not the money but rather your time. For me it's a wash - I think I would have been as happy spending the time on another game, but I don't regret playing it.
There is a great mod on NexusMods to update the textures and improve visual quality!

I heard people describe this as more than a game. They say it's art.
