Just FYI, or for others, it has a 7 year warranty.

I've been using one for about 3 years. Last week the base split where the gas lift sits (probably what happened to you as well). I called them and now a new base, gas lift and chair base (everything between the wheels and seat) is on its way to me. After 3 years of daily use I think that's incredible for a $100-150 chair.

I wouldn't compare it to Herman Miller, or even something like a Quantum 9000, but I think it's the best you can get unless you spend around $300 or find a hell of a deal. Keep in mind Dexley is designed for big/tall people. Hyken is the same chair but smaller.
I just threw mine away after... 4 years of use because the piston went through the base. Heavy use as a work at home user. It's a comfortable chair at a fraction of the price of a Herman miller. Big fan of the mesh. That being said I upgraded to a used Herman Miller and won't be looking back
Just arrived and assembled. Damn the box was heavier than I remembered. Thought maybe something changed - but then lifted my old chair (same chair) - and it is just as heavy.

What a great well-built chair.

You will have no regrets - solid well built chair. Box looked mint - no damage to contents inside.

Its no "Herman Miller" --- but definitely close... maybe a Sherman Schiller?

Was supposed to be delivered today. PayPal still in authorization/hold state... We will see if Quill can pull off what they stated.

I took a chance on it as well. Lets see when/if it arrives.

EDIT: Just arrived, easy to assemble and new with no visible flaws or defects. I'm often hesitant to buy from a new site, but I'd say both the seller and the chair were worth it.

Just shipped. Out for delivery! DC is close to me apparently.

This is a great chair - I have one that I bought direct from staples. Wife is WFH more lately and has taken it.

Provided no damage - you will be happy. I do recall a slight break-in time with my first one - so give it a fair chance.

Good luck!

Worth it. Mine is a 2002 Ergon 4 I bought for $90 used in 2004. It is 22 years old. Nothing but a few cleanings. Good as new. One of my fave chairs ever.

I see bases for sale on Amazon... Maybe you can get a new base and salvage the chair vs toss?

Not sure sizes and compatibility however. Worth a shot?

I actually had been meaning to get a Herman Miller and I didn't really throw it away, I put a free sign on it and placed it on the sidewalk in front of my place and it was gone in a couple of hours

Wish I had realized that, it's a good chair and thought it was a great value. Just wanted an excuse to get a nice one I suppose. Good looking out for others
