I have the 8 piece version of this from 2014. I doubt they have made it any better. But that couch started deteriorating after a short period of time maybe two years or so the foam cushions would start smashing down on the edge and then you literally end up sitting on wood. Also the bottom cushions you cannot replace the foam it's all one piece. There's just no way you can take it apart and replace the foam for the cushions. They don't move. They're not reversible. The sections don't stay together because of the bad hardware they use and if you add up all the linear feet of cracks in the couch, you get dozens and dozens of feet probably of cracks where everything you can imagine falls into food particles, remote control, keys anything from your pocket.
I really don't like the couch from that aspect but all my research shows that for the pit style couch I want I'm looking at like $6k on up for the same size.
If I could just replace the foam seating area, I could live with this couch for a while longer
I thought about getting some foam queen mattresses, or whatever size fits, cutting them up and removing the foam seats from the couch and just using foam mattress pieces and covering it with a damn blanket or something
Bought it a year ago, still going strong. Loved it, specially the options to rearrange it based on your needs, each seat can be separated and arrange in different patterns. Highly recommended, go for dark grey color if you have kids. Light grey is actually a beige color
This sofa has been great. Still fantastic after several years.

If you're lucky, you can get the floor models of these at your local Costco. We talked them down to $900. Luckily it was on the higher shelf so no one was able to sit on it.

I have this one. I find it very comfortable and love the modular aspect. My only issue is that threads are coming loose everywhere, do not see this couch lasting long time.
We purchased two of these on FB market place, during the spring last year. Even second hand, it's still going strong. Each piece has a sturdy and metal male/female connector underneath, that makes sure the couch sits together/doesn't shift.
The regular MSRP during our purchase was $1,999. We would recommend this couch to others, since we were very happy w our purchase.

We paid $2k for this in 2022 and are happy with it. It's big and comfortable and nice to be able to rearrange as needed. I'd definitely pay $1400 for it.
A couple cons- the cushions on the back have started to sag because our kids sit on them and they are attached to the couch so you can't flip them. It is also too low to the ground for a robot vacuum to go under. And you have to be careful when moving the pieces around barefoot-they have little metal clips on the bottom to hold the sections together and I caught one of them on my toe and ripped off my toenail.

All my local Costco's just seem to sell them to the Big Box Outlet stores...
How'd you navigate negotiating price? just asked if they'll do $900 instead of x? lol

Maybe pre-2020. Not since then.
Yup, I bought a brown version for $999…but it was also in 2014 or 2015. #TimeMachine
