Tosot is a brand owned / made by Gree, which makes a third of all air conditioners worldwide.
They are a very close 2nd tier if not almost tied with first tier manufacturers for ductless like Mitsubishi, Daikin and Fujitsu.
Bought 2 12k Tosot units over a month ago. Their build quality is A+ when compared these no name brands. Def go Tosot if you're putting it in your own home and not a flip.
Thanks for this. Purchased a Pioneer inverter unit earlier this week that's on the way for about $90 less but it was only 19 SEER2. It's a more familiar name but also know a lot of them are really manufactured by someone else. Looks like I'll be returning that one. The extra efficiency and energy star rating (for tax rebates) for this model sold me.

Are you saying this one is A+? Is it hard to install ?

They're not any more efficient, but make it easier to direct the conditioned air into where you want it to go and direct the unconditioned air out.
I believe he is talking about the portable ACs in which case the dual hose are the only ones that are doing anything except wasting electricity. A single hose portable AC pulls air from the room and exhausts it out the single hose. That puts a negative pressure in the space/house and pulls outside hot air in, maybe in that room, maybe in another. With a dual hose portable AC it pulls air from outside and exhausts that same air just like a normal window unit does, but with a smaller "look" at the window.
Are the dual vent hose units better and more efficient than single vent hose units?
Yes they are better, and worth the $100 upgrade for the increased performance. People on slickdeals will say the single hose ones are completely worthless, and they are overdramatic at how the single hose ones work. They will still cool and do an ok job.

The question is, how hot or cold does the shed get?
