Originally bought the $70 set at Costco and was told these Friday paddles were much better for only about $10/paddle more. Haven't even received them yet so won't know if that's true. It's much more expensive than these cheap Franklin paddles but figure the better equipment will hopefully encourage us to play.

edtit: my kids have been using these regularly for 3 months now and they are holding up; kids are notorious for not taking care of their equipment.

Hopefully they are better quality paddles than the OP deal. They are carbon fiber and the reviews on Amazon are decent. I haven't tried them yet so I don't know how they play. They feel pretty light to me, maybe too light.
